Please take a moment to let me know if you DO plan on attending.
Special note to board members.......a Board of Directors meeting will be held at 11:45. You are required to let
me know if you CANNOT ATTEND.

Gentlemen:
I know that many of you think that our day trip to Block Island is a long time away. The problem
is, we need a specific number of attendees in order to qualify for the group rate. As of this writing, we do not have the
minimum number to qualify. For those who went on our river boat cruise last year, you'll recall what fun we had.
This is a great opportunity to spend the day with your friends. The boat fare from New London AND lunch is only $60.00. Lunch
selection is chicken, crab cakes or pasta. Chowder and dessert is also included. We plan on meeting at the commuter lot at exit
#1 (off 384) in East Hartford at 9:30 a.m. We'd like to car pool as much as possible and we can decide when we are
gathered, who would like to go with who, as parking in New London is at a premium. For those who would prefer to drive directly
to New London, of course you can, but you MUST reserve your tickets through us.
Come on guys, don't let this
great opportunity pass you by! Call me or Roy ASAP to reserve your ticket.
Better still, bring your checks
to our next brunch/meeting on Sunday, July 20th at the Marco Polo. And while it's on your mind, won't you please get back
to me and let me know if you plan on attending the brunch so we can have the proper number of places set up?

The tribe has spoken. By an overwhelming majority, the Halloween Party will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 4 p.m.
to 8 p.m. This party will be in place of our usual brunch/meeting on the 19th. More details will be forthcoming,
but just to give you a "heads up", costumes are optional and because it is being held in a more public venue than at P'town,
please keep any costumes "tasteful". This event does not replace our usual P'town bash with the Boston and RI chapters.
As time draws nearer, we'll fill you in with more details. Your board has negotiated with Marco Polo to have a dinner buffet
for the same price as the breakfast buffet....$20.

Gentlemen:
While it may seem like a long time from now, our two major events are fast approaching.
l. Our Block Island day trip is on Sept. 13 and reservations MUST be made no later than Aug. 1.
The price is $60 which includes boat fare and lunch on the Island.
2. The trip to Radio City for the Xmas show is Nov. 8. If you plan on going, you can save yourself $12.
by payment before Aug. 1. The price for the trip (bus and theater ticket) is $97.00 per person. However, if you send
in your payment BEFORE Aug. 1 the price is only $85.00 per person. That, my friends, is a sweet deal.
So please, gentlemen, get your checks in....better still, bring your check to our picnic on Saturday and save
the postage. I know you're all coming to the picnic? And I KNOW you've already called Roy to tell him that you are coming??
